I fled Iran with my wife after both my father and mother were executed by the Iranian regime. This happens every day in towns and cities in Iran. We were informed that the regime had begun looking for us and I knew we would be executed too, so we had to leave immediately.
We managed to fly to the UK and after a long and difficult process, we were finally given asylum here. We didn’t have anywhere to live, but we were introduced to Wycombe Refugee Partnership, who found a little flat for us and helped us by providing furniture, food and clothes kindly donated by the community here in High Wycombe. They have also helped us by providing English classes, help with filling in forms and finding work, as well as just being there for us. Now, they have become our friends and we finally feel safe. This means so much to us.
